BGIS Integrated Technical Services is hiring Commercial HVAC Preventative Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on commercial building systems throughout Newark and surrounding markets. Compensation and BenefitsCompetitive Pay: $25-$35/hour ($52,000-$72,800 annually based off a 40 Hr. work week ) + Overtime when authorized by LeadershipOn-Call Pay: $150 per scheduled on-call shiftPaid Time Off: Start with 48 hours, increasing to 168 hours with tenurePaid Holidays: 7 annually (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas)401(k) Match: 5% employer contribution BGIS Kickoff Tech Program - Choose One:$3,500 cash bonus40 additional hours of floating holidays$1,250 technical training reimbursement Additional PerksCompany Vehicle: Take-home option availableTech Tools: Company-issued cellphone and tabletAnnual Boot Voucher: Stay equipped with the right gearComprehensive Benefits: Health, life, and disability coverageCorporate Discounts: Exclusive perks through ADPCareer Development: Ongoing technical training and certificationsGrowth Opportunities: Clear paths for advancement and relocation What You'll DoPerform preventive maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment.Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.Service rooftop units (RTUs), air handlers, boilers, chillers, pumps, and related mechanical equipment.Conduct system inspections and identify maintenance or repair needs.Complete service documentation using company-provided mobile technology.Recommend corrective actions and system improvements to customers.Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.Participate in an on-call rotation as required.Deliver professional customer service while maintaining strong client relationships. Qualifications RequiredEPA Certification2+ years of commercial HVAC service or maintenance experienceHigh school diploma or GEDValid driver's license and acceptable driving recordAbility to pass background and drug screening requirementsAbility to lift up to 75 poundsComfortable working on ladders, rooftops, and in confined spacesAbility to use required PPE and follow safety procedures PreferredHVAC trade school, apprenticeship, or technical certificationExperience servicing RTUs, boilers, chillers, and air handlersExperience in commercial, industrial, healthcare, retail, or office environmentsAbility to read equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and mechanical schematics Tools & SupportProvided: Fully stocked service van, iPad, iPhone, PPERequired: Hand tools, drills, Sawzall, manometer, multimeter, refrigerant gauges Tools & Support Provided BGIS equips technicians with the tools needed to succeed:Fully stocked service vehicleCompany iPhone and iPadPersonal protective equipment (PPE)Technical training opportunitiesNational support resources and experienced field leadership Technicians should possess standard HVAC hand tools, including meters, gauges, drills, and diagnostic equipment.
