Overview

Office Installations, Inc is seeking a Commercial Furniture Installer to join their team in Westland, Michigan. This full-time role involves assembling and installing furniture in various commercial environments, ensuring a high standard of quality and precision in line with design specifications.

Key responsibilities

  • Assemble and install office furniture and workstations according to design plans.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and installation instructions for accurate setup.
  • Safely load, transport, and unload furniture at job sites.
  • Install window coverings, artwork, and specialty items.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure furniture is defect-free and securely installed.
  • Communicate proactively with team members to ensure project execution.
  • Maintain accurate records of time, materials, and labor for projects.
  • Assist in planning and organizing workflow to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure workspace cleanliness at the end of projects.
  • Provide excellent customer service during installations.

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools used in furniture installation
  • Prior experience in furniture assembly and installation or construction is preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift and/or move heavy objects up to 50lbs
  • Strong attention to detail and professionalism
  • Team collaboration skills
