The types of losses may include Commercial Property, Energy, Equipment Breakdown, and additional Specialty Claims. What you'll do here:Manage, investigate, analyze, negotiate and resolve large and complex commercial property claims generally with exposures over $1M or involving specialized kind of lossEngage and manage internal and external counsel, consultants, adjusters, accountants, appraisers and engineers to confirm coverage, determine liability and assess damagesMentor, guide and provide technical advice to regional file handlers to ensure consistent and effective claims handling and support long term succession planningTrain colleagues on complex claims handlingWork with Underwriting, Loss Prevention and other stakeholders to identify potential risks, hazards and trends, sharing feedback and lessons learnedProvide brilliant customer service to brokers, customers, and colleaguesDeliver all key performance indicators as it relates to loss development and loss adjustment expenses, claims leakage control and expense managementLeverage your expertise in a creative, continuous improvement environment to support a model of best practice operationsEffectively negotiate claims when appropriateAttend settlement conferences and trialsWhat you bring to the table:A critical thinker and have intellectual curiosity when approaching complex problems in time-sensitive situationsA skilled communicator allowing you to foster favorable business relationships and provide clear guidance to clientsA problem-solver and able to gather information, evaluate a situation and negotiate the next steps toward a solutionAble to adapt to changing needs and understand the need to be flexible and agileA planner and able to effectively organize to
