Overview

Engen Contracting Inc. is seeking a committed and hardworking Commercial Construction Lead Superintendent with experience in both vertical ground-up and remodel projects. The successful candidate will be part of an innovative team dedicated to modern construction methodologies, managing commercial projects across various sectors in Central Texas.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee project scheduling and maintain weekly updates
  • Conduct weekly onsite toolbox meetings for safety enforcement
  • Utilize Procore for daily reports and documentation
  • Coordinate inspections and generate punch lists
  • Validate subcontractor change orders and labor/material projections
  • Engage in direct communication with owners, architects, and consultants
  • Interpret blueprints and ensure the integration of architectural, structural, and MEP designs
  • Schedule and motivate subcontractors and suppliers
  • Organize weekly onsite subcontractor meetings
  • Respond promptly to office staff and maintain punctuality for meetings

Required skills

  • Construction experience with ground-up and remodel projects
  • Project management skills
  • Safety management and OSHA trained (30 Hour preferred)
  • Procore software proficiency
  • Communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Blueprint interpretation skills
  • Knowledge of vertical and horizontal construction including utilities and MEP applications
