Overview

The Commercial Agency Support Representative at GEICO plays a crucial role in supporting business-to-business relations with insurance agents, providing assistance with coverage and underwriting questions, policy changes, and troubleshooting inquiries. This position is essential for delivering personalized service and reinforcing agency relationships while working in a fast-paced call center environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Respond to coverage and underwriting inquiries from insurance agents and their customers.
  • Support policy changes and provide troubleshooting assistance.
  • Handle sales and service inquiries related to Commercial Auto Insurance.
  • Participate in formal classroom training to learn processes and procedures.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume call center environment.

Required skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service or administrative support experience.
  • Preferred experience working in an insurance agency or as a trucking insurance agent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to escalate issues as necessary.
  • Minimum of high school diploma; college degree preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and follow complex instructions.
