Overview

As a Commercial Agency Support Representative at GEICO in Fredericksburg, VA, you will play a critical role in supporting business-to-business relations with insurance agents across the country. This position involves providing exceptional customer service, answering coverage and underwriting questions, and troubleshooting issues related to commercial auto insurance. Key responsibilities

  • Act as the first contact for insurance agents and their customers
  • Answer coverage and underwriting questions
  • Support policy changes and provide troubleshooting for sales and service functions
  • Learn and deliver solutions for sales and service inquiries related to commercial business-to-business relations
  • Handle a high volume of calls while maintaining professionalism
  • Follow complex instructions and resolve conflicts effectively

Required skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service or administrative support experience
  • Preferred experience in an insurance agency or as a trucking insurance agent
  • P&C license preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot applications and escalate issues as needed
  • Experience working in a fast-paced call center environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
