Overview

As a Combat Engineer in the Canadian Armed Forces, you will be an essential part of the team ensuring the mobility and safety of troops on the battlefield. This role involves a mix of physical challenges and problem-solving, where you will construct vital infrastructure and support operations in various capacities.

Key responsibilities

  • Construct and maintain roads, airfields, bridges, and buildings
  • Provide field defences and obstacles
  • Test, purify, and filter water supplies, and construct distribution systems
  • Detect and dispose of mines and explosives
  • Demolish roads and bridges, and lay minefields
  • Maintain and operate engineering equipment
  • Provide engineer communications on the battlefield
