Overview

The Color Matcher for Specialty Coatings at Painters Supply and Equipment Co. is responsible for creating and adjusting custom paint and coating colors based on customer specifications. This position involves blending pigments and materials to achieve high-quality finishes for various applications while ensuring color accuracy and product performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and mix custom coatings and paints according to specifications or formulas.
  • Use color-matching instruments and techniques to ensure accurate color reproduction.
  • Conduct tests to verify properties of mixed colors, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with production teams and customers for timely delivery of customized coatings.
  • Identify and resolve color discrepancies and mixing challenges.
  • Maintain detailed records of formulas and production processes.
  • Operate and maintain mixing equipment and color-measuring instruments.
  • Follow safety protocols when handling chemicals and operating machinery.
