Overview

The Coding Supervisor at Baptist Health will coordinate and oversee the coding department within the revenue cycle. This role involves leading, training, auditing, and providing support to staff to enhance efficiency, compliance, and accuracy in coding processes.

  • Coordinate and direct the coding department
  • Lead and train staff in coding practices
  • Audit coding processes for compliance and accuracy
  • Implement process improvements to achieve best practices
  • Establish strategic goals for the coding department
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support financial outcomes and enhance patient satisfaction

Required skills

  • 5 years progressive management experience in coding
  • HS diploma required, college or associate degree preferred
  • RHIA, RHIT or CCS certification required
  • Knowledge of Epic and 3M software
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
