Overview

Enjet Aero is seeking a CNC Turning Machinist to join their team in Manchester, Connecticut, where they machine and fabricate complex jet engine parts for various sectors. The role involves operating multi-axis milling and turning machines to produce high-quality aerospace components with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities

  • Efficiently set up, maintain, and operate vertical and horizontal multi-axis milling and turning machines
  • Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, and materials onto machines
  • Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
  • Use manual inspection equipment as required, e.g., micrometers and indicators
  • Read and interpret operation sheets and blueprints
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers and supervisors
  • Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor, including cross-training in other areas

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary CNC education preferred
  • 3-5 years of CNC machine operation experience
  • Okuma control knowledge is a plus
  • Fluency in G & M code
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a customer-focused, deadline-driven environment
