Overview

Mate Precision Technologies is seeking a CNC Technical Solutions Specialist to leverage their machining expertise in a customer-facing role. Ideal candidates have extensive experience on the shop floor with CNC machines and are passionate about solving manufacturing challenges through innovative workholding and tooling solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Evaluate customer machining applications and environments including HMC, VMC, and multi-axis setups.
  • Analyze machining factors such as material type, removal rate, and clamping methods.
  • Provide pre-sale and post-sale technical support to customers.
  • Develop practical solutions through engineering concept drawings and 3D CAD models.
  • Prepare formal quotations, pricing, and lead times.
  • Deliver exceptional technical service reflecting the company's reputation.
  • Collaborate with team members to create a respectful work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience with multi-axis VMC/HMC machining.
  • Strong knowledge of workholding principles and clamping mechanics.
  • Hands-on experience with tooling designs and machining applications.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
  • Excellent spatial reasoning and math skills related to machining.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and basic understanding of GD&T.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and online research tools.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
