Overview

As a CNC Setup Operator on the 2nd shift, you will set up and operate CNC Turning and Milling Centers to manufacture metal and polymer workpieces. Your role is essential for maintaining production quality and consistency, ensuring each operation meets specified standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC Turning and Milling Centers
  • Ensure precision and efficiency in machining processes
  • Select work holding and secure workpieces in machines
  • Load and set cutting tools, adjusting as required
  • Monitor operations to maintain integrity and specifications
  • Perform quality assurance on completed workpieces
  • Complete quality and production control documents
  • Conduct basic machine maintenance and follow safety procedures

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience/training in CNC operations
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation
  • Basic arithmetic skills and proficiency in English and Metric units
  • Basic computer skills
  • Effective communication in one-on-one and small group settings
