Overview

Scotia Engineering, Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Machinist to join their precision machine shop in Santa Fe Springs. The role requires the ability to program using MasterCam, setup, and run jobs on Haas or Fanuc machines, ensuring high-quality production of parts from print to finished product.

Key responsibilities

  • Program CNC parts using MasterCam, primarily for milling
  • Post-process and transfer code to Haas/Fanuc machines
  • Edit G-code at the machine as needed
  • Set up and run jobs independently
  • Inspect parts using conventional measurement tools and make adjustments
  • Document setups and maintain a clean workstation

Required skills

  • 3-5+ years programming with MasterCam
  • Experience with Haas and/or Fanuc controls
  • Ability to go from print to finished part
  • Strong knowledge of tooling, feeds/speeds, and shop math
  • Tight-tolerance or aerospace experience preferred
