Job Description

Overview

Splintek Inc. is seeking a full-time CNC Programmer to work on-site in Overland Park, Kansas. The role involves composing, manufacturing, and improving designs for various manufacturing tooling while collaborating with different departments to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Engineering Management to conceptualize CAD designs
  • Create 2D and 3D designs through rendering and technical drawings
  • Implement design specifications addressing cavities and machine capabilities
  • Verify part geometry using engineering measuring instruments or CAD model verification
  • Print prototype designs for multi-phase testing
  • Evaluate prototypes for quality and recommend design modifications
  • Participate in plastic injection molding and mold layout processes
  • Assist with assembly and lab testing of prototypes
  • Adhere to production schedules and prioritize assignments

Required skills

  • Associate degree in Mechanical or Design Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of CAD Designer experience
  • Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Cutter path verification experience
  • Knowledge of plastics and plastic mold interaction
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks, Master-Cam, CNC/NC, and CAD/CAM software
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply them to practical situations
