Overview

Pathway Group is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer for a privately held Aerospace Manufacturing company specializing in sheet metal fabrication and assemblies. The role demands expertise in CATIA and programming for 5-axis CNC machines, alongside a strong understanding of advanced machining processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Create and optimize CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines using CATIA.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications to develop accurate toolpaths.
  • Collaborate with engineers and machinists to ensure efficient setups and processes.
  • Design and modify fixtures as needed to support manufacturing operations.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and make program adjustments as necessary.
  • Ensure parts are produced within tolerance and quality standards.
  • Maintain clear documentation for programs, tooling, and setup instructions.

Required skills

  • 3+ years of experience as a CNC Programmer
  • Proficiency in CATIA or MasterCAM
  • Strong knowledge of 5-axis machining and multi-axis toolpath strategies
  • Familiarity with HAAS machines
  • Solid understanding of G-code, machining parameters, and cutting tool selection
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

What the company offers
