United Gear & Assembly is seeking a CNC Mill Setup Operator for the 3rd shift, based in Hudson, Wisconsin. This role involves operating and setting up CNC mills, reading blueprints, and ensuring quality control of machined parts. The ideal candidate will have a stable work history and a mechanical aptitude, ready to learn and grow within the company.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC mills
  • Read process sheets, blueprints, and sketches
  • Mount and clamp work pieces
  • Install and set up tooling
  • Start machining operations and monitor performance
  • Inspect machined parts for conformance to specifications
  • Organize materials for changeovers
  • Document measurement results
  • Perform preventive maintenance on machines
  • Complete daily operator checklists
