Overview

Altamira Material Solutions is seeking skilled CNC Machinists to join their team in Haverhill, Massachusetts. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience across various machining disciplines and the ability to work on multiple machine platforms. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered after the first 30 days of employment.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up and operate a variety of machine tools
  • Study specifications and determine dimensions and tolerances
  • Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions for machining
  • Operate machines such as lathes and milling machines
  • Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications
  • Document time worked and job activities
  • Adhere to safety procedures and ISO inspection processes

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2 years' experience in similar environments
  • Familiarity with G-code and other programming languages
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Working knowledge of fixturing and tooling setup
  • Familiarity with measuring devices such as micrometers and calipers
  • Basic computer operation skills
