Overview

United Gear & Assembly is seeking a CNC Machinist Operator for weekend shifts in Hudson, Wisconsin. The role involves setting up and operating various CNC machines to perform machining operations, ensuring high quality and precise manufacturing of gears and related assemblies.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines including lathes, mills, drills, and grinders.
  • Read process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine machining operations and specifications.
  • Verify accuracy of move tickets, drawings, and quality documents.
  • Load and unload workpieces manually or using a hoist.
  • Install preset tooling according to process specifications.
  • Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments.
  • Inspect first-run pieces and conduct spot-checks on succeeding pieces.
  • Organize materials for job changes to minimize downtime.
  • Complete production and labor reporting.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and perform preventive machine maintenance.
