Job Description

Overview

CX2 is a defense technology company focused on spectrum dominance for the U.S. and its allies, leveraging AI-enabled platforms. They are seeking a CNC Machinist for their El Segundo, CA facility to take charge of prototyping and small volume production, ensuring precision in aerospace manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate 3-axis CNC mills
  • CAM setup and programming for CNC mills and routers
  • Spec and purchase new machines and tools
  • Interpret engineering blueprints to meet aerospace specifications
  • Work independently to solve machining challenges and improve processes
  • Manage production data like CAM files

Required skills

  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience, especially in prototyping
  • 2+ years of experience with CAM software and programming 3-axis mills
  • Experience with aerospace manufacturing requirements such as AS9100D or ISO 9001
  • Blueprint interpretation skills and machinability improvement recommendations
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Familiarity with ITAR regulations
