Overview

As a CNC Machinist III at VACCO Industries, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills for larger parts, including experience with DMG Mori and 5Axis systems. Your role involves interpreting blueprints, performing inspections, and making necessary adjustments to ensure high-quality output, all while maintaining safety standards and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Setup and operate CNC mills for larger parts
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and specifications
  • Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions on workpieces
  • Select and secure fixtures, cutting tools, and materials
  • Calculate and adjust machining factors like speed and feed
  • Observe machine operations to detect malfunctions and make adjustments
  • Verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications
  • Collaborate with engineers and production personnel to resolve issues
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation
