Overview

Strohwig Industries Inc is seeking a CNC Machinist III for the 1st shift in Richfield, Wisconsin. The role involves operating and programming a floor bar CNC machine tool, including setup, verification, and programming using CAM software. The machinist will work independently to produce complex parts and ensure adherence to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate and program 5-axis CNC machine tools
  • Set up and verify tooling and part offsets
  • Adhere to safety procedures and regulations
  • Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions
  • Take precise measurements to verify program accuracy
  • Maintain a clean work area and machine daily
  • Document and communicate workflow between shifts
  • Program toolpaths using CAM software

Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist
  • Ability to operate and program 5-axis CNC machine tools
  • Experience with machining exotic materials and specialty tooling
  • Proficiency in CAM software
  • Knowledge of GD&T
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with leadership skills
  • Strong understanding of mathematics
