Overview

Bokam Engineering Inc is seeking a CNC and Manual Machinist and Mechanical Assembly Technician to support precision production and assembly tasks in a small, fast-paced shop environment. The role involves operating manual and CNC machines, performing precision assembly, and collaborating with engineering to resolve issues.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up and operate manual and CNC machines to produce precision components
  • Perform precision mechanical assembly of parts, subassemblies, and finished units
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
  • Inspect parts using precision measuring tools
  • Collaborate with engineering and other technicians to resolve fit and tolerance issues

Required skills

  • Experience operating manual lathes, mills, and CNC machines
  • Proven precision mechanical assembly skills
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of CNC programming (nice to have)
