Overview

Custom Engineering Company is looking for CNC Machinists for their 2nd shift operations in Erie, Pennsylvania. The role involves operating various types of CNC machines, ensuring precision in machining tasks, and conducting in-process inspections to meet specified tolerances.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate horizontal boring mills, vertical mills, and bridge mills
  • Create setups and remove workpieces from machines per procedures
  • Use measuring instruments to ensure conformance with specified tolerances
  • Perform in-process inspections and adjust offsets as needed
  • Position and secure workpieces using tools and devices
  • Study blueprints and work orders to determine tolerances and procedures
  • Recognize tooling types and machining procedures for close tolerances
