Job Description

Overview

Roncelli Plastics is seeking a CNC Machinist with 2 to 5 years of CNC mill experience to operate CNC machines in their Monrovia, California facility. This role involves fabricating plastic and non-metallic parts while adhering to strict customer specifications and quality standards, alongside maintaining a safe and organized workspace.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate CNC mill machines according to process sheets without supervision
  • Create, edit, send, or retrieve CNC programs as needed
  • Read and interpret manufacturing paperwork including blueprints and sketches
  • Inspect and verify own work prior to submission for quality assurance
  • Process required work-related paperwork and MRP documents
  • Communicate production issues and suggest error-elimination strategies
  • Perform non-CNC tasks when necessary
  • Evaluate and update cycle times
  • Improve production processes for efficiency
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment

Required skills

  • 2-5 years of experience with CNC mill machines
  • Certificate from NTMA or other technical school (preferred)
  • Understanding of CNC mill programs and editing
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software
  • Ability to use inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM)
  • Blueprint and technical document reading skills
  • Strong shop math skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer knowledge and ability to use manufacturing software
