Overview

The CNC Machinist position at Manpower SD Metro North involves working with the Machine Shop Programmer and Engineers to maintain high standards of quality and precision in fabricated and newly designed parts. The role requires independence in machine set-ups and thorough quality inspections.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete machine set-ups independently.
  • Analyze job orders, drawings, and specifications for machine operations.
  • Handle all phases of part operations for first article acceptance.
  • Perform in-process quality inspections and maintain accurate records.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements.
  • Input data into visual management systems and communicate results.
  • Participate in internal training as required.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

  • Precision Machining
  • Blueprint Reading
  • Quality Control
  • Machine Setup experience with 3 and 5 axis HAAS machines
  • Experience with aluminum and carbon fiber machining
  • Understanding of machine tool clearances and offsets
  • Proficiency in indicators, gauges, and plate inspection methods
  • MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
