Overview

Mate Precision Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented CNC Machinist for the 2nd shift in Anoka, Minnesota. This role involves setting up and operating CNC and conventional machines to produce precision components while ensuring high quality and productivity standards are met.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC and conventional machines and machining centers
  • Produce precision components according to blueprints and GD&T requirements
  • Inspect work using precision measuring tools
  • Troubleshoot production issues to maintain workflow
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams for process improvement
  • Support continuous improvement efforts such as 5S, Kaizen events, and value stream mapping

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; two-year technical degree preferred
  • Experience operating CNC and/or conventional machining equipment
  • Strong knowledge of machine tooling, fixtures, and machining processes
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T
  • Ability to use precision inspection equipment like micrometers and calipers
  • Basic familiarity with machine programming features and ERP systems
  • Strong math and communication skills
  • Dependable, safety-focused mindset
