Job Description

Overview

LoneStar Fasteners is seeking a CNC Machinist for the 2nd shift to operate and set up CNC lathes and mills in a manufacturing environment. This role involves producing high-quality components as per customer specifications while adhering to safety and quality assurance policies.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC Lathes and Mill machines
  • Read blueprints and job orders for product specifications
  • Inspect first run and sample work pieces for conformity to specifications
  • Perform program editing on Fanuc 18i control, Okuma OSP, and Mazak
  • Complete work order documentation accurately
  • Perform routine and preventative machine maintenance
  • Assist other machine operators and transport finished work pieces

Required skills

  • 2 years of experience in CNC setup and operation
  • Basic programming and editing experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree preferred
  • Ability to pass tests in reading, math, measurement, and counting
  • Good communication skills
  • Use of measurement tools like OD micrometers and calipers
  • Attention to detail and ability to adapt to changes
