Overview

Mate Precision Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented CNC Machinist for the 2nd shift in Anoka, Minnesota. This role involves setting up and operating CNC and conventional machines to produce high-quality precision components while collaborating with various teams to enhance processes and maintain quality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC and conventional machines to produce precision components
  • Work with blueprints and GD&T requirements
  • Inspect work using precision measuring tools
  • Troubleshoot production issues
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams
  • Support continuous improvement efforts like 5S, Kaizen events, and value stream mapping

Required skills

  • Experience operating CNC and/or conventional machining equipment
  • Strong knowledge of machine tooling, fixtures, and machining processes
  • Blueprint reading and GD&T expertise
  • Familiarity with precision inspection equipment such as micrometers and calipers
  • Basic understanding of machine programming features and ERP systems
  • Strong math and communication skills
  • Safety-focused mindset
