Overview

Mate Precision Technologies is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for the 1st Shift in Anoka, Minnesota. This role involves setting up and operating CNC and conventional machines, producing high-quality precision components while collaborating with engineering and quality teams to support continuous improvement initiatives in a clean, climate-controlled environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC and conventional machines
  • Produce precision components while meeting quality and productivity expectations
  • Work with blueprints and GD&T requirements
  • Inspect work using precision measuring tools
  • Troubleshoot machining issues to maintain smooth production
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams
  • Support continuous improvement efforts such as 5S and Kaizen

Required skills

  • Experience operating CNC and/or conventional machining equipment
  • Strong knowledge of machine tooling, fixtures, and machining processes
  • Blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
  • Ability to use precision inspection equipment like micrometers and calipers
  • Basic familiarity with machine programming features and ERP systems
  • Strong math and communication skills
  • Dependable and safety-focused mindset
