Overview

Mate Precision Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented CNC Machinist for the 1st Shift in Anoka, Minnesota. This role involves setting up and operating CNC and conventional machines to produce high-quality components while collaborating with various teams to support continuous improvement efforts.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC and conventional machines
  • Produce precision components while meeting quality and productivity expectations
  • Read blueprints and adhere to GD&T requirements
  • Inspect work using precision measuring tools
  • Troubleshoot production issues to maintain workflow
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams
  • Support continuous improvement efforts like 5S and Kaizen

Required skills

  • Experience operating CNC and/or conventional machining equipment
  • Strong knowledge of machine tooling and fixtures
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and GD&T
  • Familiarity with precision inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
  • Basic knowledge of machine programming features and ERP systems
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Communication skills
  • Dependable and safety-focused mindset
