Overview

Hoosier, Inc. is seeking a CNC Lathe Operator for their 2nd shift in Corona, California. This position is open to both experienced operators and entry-level candidates who are mechanically inclined and eager to learn. The role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-growing precision CNC machine shop.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate CNC lathes to produce precision machined parts
  • Load and unload parts and monitor machine cycles
  • Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Make basic tool offsets and adjustments
  • Read blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers
  • Maintain quality standards and production efficiency
  • Keep work area clean and organized (5S)
  • Work with setup technicians, programmers, and quality team

Required skills

  • CNC machining experience preferred (Mazak, Haas, Doosan, Okuma a plus)
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) or willingness to learn
  • Blueprint reading experience or willingness to learn
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Dependable, team player, strong work ethic
  • Basic G-code knowledge
  • Experience with GD&T
  • Familiarity with tight tolerances and inspection processes
