Job Description

Overview

As a CNC Lathe Machinist at KD Precision Machining Inc, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes and mills, performing precision machining operations for the aerospace industry. Your role includes ensuring the quality of components through inspections and maintaining equipment in optimal condition.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up, adjust, and operate CNC lathe and milling machines
  • Align and secure fixtures and cutting tools onto machines
  • Measure and examine components for defects using precision instruments
  • Monitor machine feed and speed during operations
  • Conduct in-process and first piece inspections
  • Collaborate with engineering and supervisory personnel for technical exchanges
  • Dispose of scrap or waste in line with company policies
  • Evaluate machining procedures for efficiency improvements
  • Complete routine visual and dimensional inspections
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area
  • Assist in other areas as needed
