Overview

As a CNC Grinding Operator on the 3rd shift, you will set up and operate grinding machines to ensure the precise grinding of alloy steel and polymer parts. This role emphasizes attention to detail and quality assurance, working in a collaborative environment to enhance productivity and maintain high standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up and operate grinding machines with Silicon Carbide or Diamond wheels
  • Ensure precise dressing of wheels and accurate control settings
  • Optimize production efficiency by mastering machine controls
  • Perform proactive maintenance and regular checks for malfunctions
  • Verify dimensions and quality of workpieces as part of quality assurance
  • Collaborate with supervision and team members, taking on additional duties as needed

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in CNC machining
  • Ability to set up and operate CNC machining centers
  • Basic mathematical proficiency including metric conversions
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong communication skills in English
