Overview

Lumina Advisors is looking for a skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer to join their infrastructure team in Washington, DC. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and automation systems to ensure high availability, scalability, and security across cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
  • Build, maintain, and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines to automate software deployment and infrastructure provisioning.
  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Monitor system performance, configure alerts, and proactively troubleshoot infrastructure and application bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to ensure applications are architected for cloud scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Maintain security compliance, manage identity and access management (IAM), and participate in disaster recovery planning.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equiva
  • 3+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Systems Administration
  • Strong proficiency with AWS or Microsoft Azure
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef)
  • Proven experience utilizing Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent IaC tools
  • Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (EKS/AKS)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation tasks
