Overview

Liberty Title Agency is seeking a detail-oriented and service-minded Closing Coordinator to join their team in Birmingham, Michigan. The role is crucial in managing transactions from the point a property is under contract until closing, ensuring a smooth and exceptional experience for all parties involved, including buyers, sellers, and lenders.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between seller, buyer, real estate agents, and lender
  • Determine escrow requirements by reviewing title reports and relevant instructions
  • Provide updates on the purchase's progress to all relevant parties
  • Verify taxes, assessments, and homeowner's association dues
  • Input closing statement information
  • Answer routine customer service questions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously
  • Comfort working with deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear and confident communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Collaborative and solution-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
  • High level of professionalism and integrity
  • 1+ years of experience in the title insurance industry or related field
  • Ability to obtain Michigan Resident Producer License and become a Michigan Notary Public
