Overview

BJC Medical Group is seeking a Part-Time Clinical Triage Nurse for their Access Center in Chicago, Illinois. The role involves providing direct telephonic care to adults and pediatrics while collaborating with primary care providers. Ideal candidates should have recent RN experience in Emergency Department or Medical Surgical settings and must reside within an hour of St. Louis, MO or IL.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess patients telephonically using nursing processes and critical thinking
  • Direct patients to appropriate levels of care and schedule appointments
  • Provide patient education and support with clear communication
  • Utilize various technologies to coordinate patient care
  • Apply standard work procedures for routine tasks like medication refill requests
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure safe care
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service to callers

Required skills

  • Recent RN experience in Emergency Department or Medical Surgical settings
