Overview

K2 Medical Research is seeking an experienced Clinical Research Coordinator and Lead Project Manager in Maitland, Florida. This role involves overseeing a team of Project Managers and ensuring the efficient coordination of clinical trials in General Medicine, maintaining high standards of quality and productivity while fostering strong relationships with all stakeholders involved in the research process.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of Project Managers and Clinical Research Assistants
  • Train personnel to ensure effective coordination of clinical trial processes
  • Understand and adhere to study protocols, obtaining exemptions as necessary
  • Communicate protocol issues to relevant parties, including CROs and sponsors
  • Conduct patient interviews and collect medical information
  • Ensure effective communication between patients and study staff
  • Perform clinical tasks such as vital signs monitoring and specimen management
  • Maintain accurate documentation and study medication records
  • Educate patients and their families about study protocols and clinical trials
  • Respond to monitor and sponsor queries in a timely manner

Required skills

  • Clinical Research Coordinator or Project Manager experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, GCP, and FDA guidelines
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Phlebotomy, LPN, RN, or relevant medical certifications preferred
  • CCRC certification preferred
  • BLS Healthcare Provider desired
