Job Description

Overview

The Clinical Operations Supervisor at Whidbey General Hospital is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Primary Care Cabot department. Under the guidance of the Department Director, this role emphasizes collaboration, support for a patient-centered care culture, and effective team leadership. The supervisor will also coordinate staff schedules, conduct performance evaluations, and ensure quality patient care within the clinic.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide operational leadership to the department management team
  • Coordinate staff schedules with final approval from the Department Director
  • Attend meetings as a Department Representative
  • Conduct performance evaluations and quarterly check-ins for staff members
  • Participate in the interview process and provide feedback to the Department Director
  • Develop policies, protocols, and standard work processes for clinic staff
  • Communicate changes in procedures to staff as directed
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and coverage for shifts
  • Address computer issues and liaise with IT Department
  • Resolve patient complaints and billing inquiries
  • Review timecards for accuracy and manage payroll processes
  • Assist in clinical or front office roles if staffing levels require

Required skills

  • Licensure as Medical Assistant (MA-C), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Registered Nurse (RN)
  • BLS certification
  • 10+ years' experience as MA-C or LPN in a clinic setting, RN with 5+ years' experience preferred

  • Salary range for RN: $92,000 - $154,545.317
