Overview

BJC Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Nurse for their Med Surg unit in Saint Charles, Missouri. This part-time position focuses on providing comprehensive patient care and supports nurses in their professional growth through the BJC RN Career Ladder, emphasizing career advancement, education, and collaboration.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment home care, and medication safety.
  • Develop, implement, and document individual care plans in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
  • Assess and evaluate patients' physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to established standards.
  • Promote patient-centered care in a healing environment.

Required skills
