Overview

BJC Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Nurse for their Med/Surg Unit at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital. This part-time position focuses on providing direct patient care and promotes a relationship-based care philosophy. The role involves collaborating with an interprofessional team to deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Promote patient and family-centered care in a healing environment.
  • Educate patients and families on illness management and post-treatment needs.
  • Develop, implement, and document individual plans of care.
  • Ensure effective communication of the plan of care across the continuum.
  • Assess and evaluate patients' physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
