Overview

The Clinical Nurse in Ancillary Infusion Services at CHRISTUS Health is responsible for coordinating and implementing patient care tailored to the specific needs of the patient population in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This role requires delivering safe and quality care while ensuring adherence to the organization's standards. The nurse will engage in comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans to effectively support patients and their families.

Key responsibilities

  • Obtain and record initial patient assessments
  • Establish priorities according to patient age and needs
  • Re-assess patients to identify progress and necessary interventions
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Make nursing decisions based on patient evaluations
  • Participate in health education and discharge planning
  • Implement and document timely interventions
  • Perform various Point of Care testing procedures

Required skills

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
  • BLS Certification required within 2 weeks of hire
  • Experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Knowledge of patient rights and care delivery
  • Effective communication skills appropriate to patient developmental age
