Overview

The Clinical Lab Technologist at Mayo Clinic is responsible for performing analyses to assist healthcare providers in diagnosing, prognosing, and treating patients. This role involves operational support activities to maintain and optimize testing capabilities in specialized laboratories, working with various instrumentation and computer systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform analyses for patient diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation
  • Troubleshoot assays and evaluate tests for accuracy
  • Assist in interpreting results and optimize testing operations
  • Adhere to safety protocols while handling infectious specimens and chemicals
  • Work with computer systems to retrieve information and report results
  • Participate in specimen collection with minimal supervision

Required skills
