Overview

The Clinical Education Specialist for Abdominal Transplant at BJC Healthcare is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for clinical staff to enhance patient care and experiences. This role collaborates with various stakeholders to meet educational needs and regulatory requirements in the inpatient surgical services context.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage key house-wide or multidepartmental educational programs for clinical staff
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate continuing education programs and curriculums
  • Collaborate with administration and key personnel to develop education plans that meet patient care standards
  • Analyze educational needs and assess the effectiveness of activities
  • Design educational programs based on adult learning principles and cost-effectiveness

Required skills

  • Master's Degree
  • RN or RRT certification
  • 2-10 years of experience in clinical education or related field
