Overview

Duke Health is seeking a Part Time Clinical Dietitian for their Executive Health Clinic in Durham, NC. This role is essential for providing direct and indirect nutrition care to patients, integrating individual health goals with evidence-based nutrition practices.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide individualized nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy.
  • Evaluate, interpret, monitor, and document patients' nutritional status and needs.
  • Deliver culturally responsive counseling to support behavior change and wellness.
  • Develop personalized nutrition care plans with follow-up recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary Executive Health team on patient plans.
  • Create and update educational materials tailored to the Executive Health population.
  • Maintain RD credentialing requirements and complete continuing education.
  • Precept dietetic interns and support onboarding of new team members.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.
  • Completion of a coordinated program or dietetic internship.
  • One year of experience in an acute care environment preferred.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) credential or eligibility for registration.
