Job Description

Overview

The Clinical Applications Specialist I (CAS I) at bioMérieux is a hybrid role focused on providing technical support and training for diagnostic test systems. This position involves managing customer inquiries, complaints, and resolutions, as well as promoting teamwork and maintaining product knowledge for exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

  • Answer customer inquiries and document them in the ERP system
  • Provide product education and troubleshooting support to customers
  • Manage the complaint handling process and escalate as necessary
  • Perform on-call duties for 24-hour technical support
  • Support training and technical assistance for existing customers
  • Manage product returns when applicable
  • Participate in revenue generation initiatives
  • Maintain ERP certification and quality plan standards

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Biological science or relevant experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Clinical laboratory experience in Microbiology or Molecular Biology
  • Customer-facing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of networking or LIS/LIMS preferred
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate skill in MS Office tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
  • Knowledge of bioMérieux products and Salesforce is a plus
