Job Description

Overview

The Clinical Applications Specialist I (CAS I) at bioMérieux is responsible for providing product applications and technical support for diagnostic test systems. This hybrid role requires on-site presence 2-3 days a week and focuses on delivering exceptional customer support, complaint management, and training to enhance customer satisfaction and support sales growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide world-class customer support with consistent follow-up and troubleshooting
  • Manage the complaint handling process and escalate issues as needed
  • Perform on-call duties to provide 24-hour technical support
  • Deliver product education and additional training for customers
  • Establish and maintain enterprise resource planning (ERP) certification
  • Meet departmental quality standards and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Participate in revenue generation initiatives and promote value-added services

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a Biological science or equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years of clinical laboratory experience in Microbiology and/or Molecular Biology
  • Medical device industry experience preferred
  • Customer-facing experience is a plus
  • Intermediate skill in MS Office tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
  • Knowledge of bioMérieux products and Salesforce is a plus
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
