The Clinic LPN / Medical Assistant III - PRN at CoxHealth involves performing a range of administrative and clinical duties under the guidance of healthcare providers. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, taking vital signs, preparing patients for examination, and drawing blood, catering primarily to an ambulatory clinic setting.

  • Take and record vital signs and medical histories
  • Prepare patients for examination
  • Draw blood as required
  • Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Carry out delegated tasks as directed by supervisors or providers

Required skills

  • Certification from a recognized program (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA, or LPN)
  • Graduated from a formal MA training program including pharmacology, anatomy/physiology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to obtain American Heart Association BLS within 90 days of hire
