Overview

Marshall & Sterling Inc is seeking a licensed Client Service Specialist for Personal Lines to support clients in the insurance industry, enhancing account retention and growth. The role emphasizes strong client relationships, policy accuracy, and collaboration with internal teams, situated in a hybrid environment in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide superior service as the main contact for insured clients
  • Underwrite individual risk situations to meet agency and insurance company standards
  • Make policy placement decisions based on customer needs
  • Manage account transactions, including endorsements, binders, and cancellations
  • Review policies for accuracy and update agency management systems
  • Request necessary documentation such as loss runs and certificates of insurance
  • Timely follow-ups on company and client inquiries
  • Maintain professional accreditation and industry knowledge
  • Build and maintain favorable work relationships

Required skills

  • 5+ years of Commercial Lines experience
  • New York State P&C Broker License
  • Strong communication skills
  • High level of organizational ability and attention to detail
  • Team collaboration experience
  • Experience with rating, underwriting, and procedural skills
  • Familiarity with AMS360 and Image Right
