Overview

Heard & Smith, LLP is looking for a Client Service Specialist (Legal Assistant) to join their team in San Antonio, Texas. This role focuses on providing exceptional customer service to clients throughout the claims process in a supportive, fast-paced, professional environment. The firm, dedicated to helping the disabled for over 30 years, seeks compassionate individuals with strong work ethics and a desire to make a difference.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle approximately 50-75 calls per day in a professional call center environment
  • Build and maintain client relationships
  • Focus on client retention while providing excellent customer service
  • Maintain a 90% or above quality score on calls
  • Document client interactions, concerns, and complaints in a paperless database
  • Use good judgment to address urgent issues
  • Solve client problems while maintaining confidentiality

Required skills

  • High School Diploma; Degree preferred or equivalent combination
  • Customer service experience
  • Call center experience
  • Minimum 40 WPM typing speed
  • Knowledge of computer technology and the Internet (MS Office Outlook)
  • Multi-tasking skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong people skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent telephone, communication, and active listening skills
  • Reliability and dependability
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving abilities
  • Legal experience (Legal Assistant, Secretary, Paralegal) preferred
  • Fluent in Spanish is a plus
