Position Overview Classroom assistants work with the lead teacher to ensure that children have an authentic Montessori experience. They help prepare and maintain an orderly, attractive, and joyful environment that allows for freedom and the development of responsibility. They regularly observe the students and share reflections with the guide. Classroom assistants are also crucial in modeling courteous and respectful behavior as well as contributing to the warm, supportive, and calm environment of a Bluffview Montessori classroom. Licensure and Certification Requirements Valid CPR/First Aid/Anaphylaxis certification or ability to acquire it. Minimum high school diploma. Education and Experience Preferences Demonstrated ability to work with children. Crisis Prevention and Intervention certification or ability to acquire it.
